GARDEN PROJECT · STROOD, KENT
Grey porcelain paving and timber sleeper planters bring seating, planting and garden paths together.

THE PROJECT
This Strood project combines a porcelain patio with timber sleeper planters. The grey paving forms a seating area and continues between two long raised planters towards the back of the garden. A lawn sits alongside the paved space, giving the layout a clear division between grass, planting and patio.
The warm timber edges contrast with the grey porcelain slabs. White decorative stones cover the planters, with individual plants spaced along their length. Together, the planters frame the route through the garden and give the paved area a defined edge.
Rectangular grey porcelain slabs form the patio and connecting path. The same paving continues around the seating space, keeping the layout visually consistent.
Raised timber planters run along both sides of the garden path. Their straight edges complement the paving, while the white stones and planting add contrast.
The patio sits beside the lawn and extends towards the rear of the garden. The arrangement keeps the seating area, planted borders and walking route connected.
