THE PROJECT
A fresh lawn, buff paving and timber garden edges.
This Borough Green project brings together a new turf lawn, a buff slab patio, softwood timber sleeper planters and closeboard fencing. The patio sits beside the house, with central steps leading through the timber edge to the lawn beyond.
The buff paving gives the area near the house a light finish. Timber sleepers define the change in level, while the new lawn provides an open central space. Closeboard fencing encloses the garden, creating a consistent timber boundary around the outdoor area.
What the project included
Softwood timber sleeper planters
Softwood timber sleepers form the planters and define the edges of the garden. The timber detail continues around the central steps between the patio and lawn.
450mm buff slab patio
The patio uses 450mm buff slabs. The square paving layout sits directly outside the house and meets the sleeper-framed steps.
New turf lawn
A newly turfed lawn fills the central garden area, framed by the fencing and timber edge beside the patio.
